Erasmus+ stays for further education and training

You can find important information about Covid-19 on the university’s Coronavirus FAQ website.

In addition to mobility for students and teachers, the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission offers non-academic staff the possibility of taking part in training at a partner university or a European company as a measure to support internationalization.

An Erasmus+ stay has the following advantages:

  • Stay on the basis of a coordinated training program
  • Professional exchange and new perspectives
  • Opportunity to strengthen skills
  • Establishment and expansion of professional networks

Non-academic staff from the following areas among others may be eligible for funding:

  • General & technical administration
  • Libraries
  • Academic departments
  • Finances
  • International office
  • Public relations/marketing
  • Student counseling
  • Technology & transfer
  • Further education

Erasmus+ opportunities for further training include:

  • Job shadowing
  • Study visits
  • Participation in workshops and seminars (this does not include conferences)
  • Participation in language courses and continuing education courses

Language courses can only be funded for a period of one week (5 days of language course plus arrival/departure day if applicable) and must comprise 25 hours of instruction per week in order to be eligible for funding. Course fees are not covered by the Erasmus+ program.

Structured training to promote internationalization:

Under the “ProfFI” certificate program for the promotion of internationalization, non-academic staff can participate in the following activities:

  • Work shadowing
  • Participation in language courses and continuing education courses

For more information, please visit the ProFI website of FUB's Center for Continuing Education.

Erasmus+ mobilities exist within Europe as well as worldwide.
