Hygiene and food analysis internship
according to § 55 (1) and § 56 (1) TAppV for Veterinary Medicine students.
It is possible to complete an internship at the Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene on the implementation of control activities, methods and techniques for the food sector (§ 55 - 56 TAppV) (75 hours within at least two consecutive weeks).
The elective internship according to § 60 TAppV can also be completed at the institute. A part of the internship according to § 57 para. 2 TAppV of at least 75 hours within two weeks and a maximum of 350 hours within eight weeks can be completed.
During this internship you will gain insights into:

Preparation of samples for microbiological and histological examination

Qualitative and quantitative microbiological procedures

Food law assessment and findings

Occupational safety measures in the microbiology laboratory
Registration is required.
Requests for the coming years (e.g. for the period 01.10.2024 to 30.09.2025) will only be released from 01.04. of the previous year (in this case from 01.04.2023). Please note that early applications cannot be considered.
