Do you have a research-based and well-defined business idea or early stage venture and want to validate the commercial feasibility of your business plan, then Ignite may be for you!
Ignite is an intensive, one-week training programme for aspiring entrepreneurs and corporate innovators to trial and prepare business ideas for the commercial environment.
Ignite is for those who already have a business idea or early stage venture. The programme will help you to assess and validate the commercial feasibility of your business plan and better define and shape its potential for success. Ignite will build on your existing skills and background in business by increasing your network of contacts and surrounding you with the knowledge and experience of highly regarded industry mentors.
Comprised of a blend of practical teaching sessions, expert clinics, mentor sessions and experienced advice and support from leading entrepreneurs and innovators, it will give you the tools, contacts and confidence to transform your idea into a successful business project or venture.
Previous participants include entrepreneurs who have been in business for one to three years, scientists and academics from universities and research laboratories, and managers, engineers, technologists, and project leaders from large established organisations.
If you're a postdoc with a well-defined business idea or early stage venture and want to validate the commercial feasibility of your idea and or business plan, then apply to the Ignite programme.
Participation is by application only and a FREE place, fully subsidised travel and accommodation is exclusively available to postdocs from postdocs2innovators (p2i) partner institutions, such as FU Berlin.
Postdocs need to be available for travel on Sunday 30th June to arrive by 3.00pm to late on Friday 5th July or Saturday 6th July am 2019.

Travel, accommodation and registration bursaries are available to postdocs/junior researchers from p2i partner institutions (*) travelling from outside of Cambridge to cover the full cost of travel, dinner and bed and breakfast and registration. Postdocs need to be available for travel on Sunday 30th June to arrive by 3.00pm to late on Friday 5th July or Saturday 6th July am 2019.
We will notify whether you have been successfully selected by after which you will be able to register directly with the organisers of the Venture Creation weekend.
